**Who can request Spitex services?

Our services are available to all residents of all ages in the communities of Elgg, Hagenbuch, Hofstetten ZH, Wiesendangen, who are dependent on help and care at home due to illness, accident, disability, mental illness, old age, palliative care or maternity.

What is important to us

• People in need of care should be able to remain in their familiar surroundings as long as possible. Or the return from hospital or rehabilitation can take place as soon as possible
• Clients should be able to maintain their autonomy and independence. We would like to accompany them in a supportive manner
• We want to relieve relatives, friends and neighbors of people in need of care and assistance so that they can cope with the care and support and thus remain healthy themselves.

Clarification and consultation

You need our help - call us. A specialist will make an appointment with you and discuss the situation at your home. Together we define the services and record them in writing on an order confirmation. The agreements made are binding and confidential.

Treatment care

Such as

• wound treatments
• bandages
• Blood pressure and blood sugar measurements
• medication dispensing
• injections
• Catheter care
• Stoma care

**Basic care

Assisting with or taking over activities of daily living,

such as

Personal hygiene

• dressing and undressing
• Assistance with morning and evening care
• Taking medicines
• Taking meals
• Putting on compression stockings
• Bandaging legs
• gait training
• mobility exercises
• Mobilization

These services are covered by the compulsory health insurance (minus deductible).

**Home economics

Entitlement to household services from Spitex exists (with a doctor's order), for example, in the event of illness, accident, convalescence, hospital discharge or inability to perform household tasks independently.

Spitex takes over tasks such as:

• weekly sweeping (vacuuming, cleaning floors, cleaning wet rooms, dusting)
• the provision of the laundry
• the shopping
• the supervision of a healthy diet
• warming meals

The costs are not covered by the compulsory health insurance, but by a possible additional insurance.
