Casa Serena (Lugano)

Built on the grounds of the former municipal nursing home in the populous Molino Nuovo neighborhood, Casa Serena, in addition to being the largest existing facility in Canton Ticino, is the doyenne of institutions for the care of the elderly in the City of Lugano. The residence is medicalized; medical management and the nursing care sector guarantee a continuous presence. Casa Serena is equipped with spaces for animation and physical therapy. Numerous in-house services (pedicure, coiffure, etc.). The facility is equipped with a radiology service also available to residents of the other houses. Casa Serena - which is also the headquarters of the General Management of Lugano Social Institutes - has a café and a large park that serve as a meeting place for residents and residents of the Neighborhood.

Casa Serena is equipped with a palliative care ward and a hemodialysis service.
