Convita Bethanien (Zürich)

For over 100 years, Diakonie Bethanien has placed loving care for people at the center of its activities. Based on a modern diaconal culture and many years of experience in care and social commitment, the non-profit organization is constantly expanding its range of social care services.

Today, around 350 employees work in the areas of care and housing for the elderly, day care for children, protection for children and parents, therapeutic living for eating disorders, and catering and hotel services. In addition, we train apprentices in most of our operations, thus ensuring the sustainable continuation of those values and concerns that were once built up by deaconesses.

The members of the association consist of deaconesses, from 1990 additionally of diaconal members and since 2002 also of committed private persons who are close to Diakonie Bethanien. Together, the association pursues the goal of promoting social-diaconal projects and running corresponding institutions.
