The Prix Santé AG nursing home in Uster is a long-term care facility for elderly people with 24-hour operation. Persons in need of care of all degrees of severity can be cared for here. We offer our inpatient services without charging a care tax.

Service offer

In our nursing home in Uster, the majority of residents are persons whose need for care has reached a level that makes care in the home environment impossible. Thus, the main focus of care and support in the nursing home will be on persons who require 24-hour care and who will remain in the nursing home for a longer period of time. The length of stay will depend on the needs of the client. A return to the personal home environment is possible at any time, if this is desired by the customer, or the nursing care is guaranteed.

Medical service

In our nursing home there is free choice of doctor.

Home doctor

Prix Santé AG has a cooperation agreement with a resident specialist who, as the home physician, bears medical responsibility for the nursing home and is available as a professional resource for the Spitex service.

Nursing home residents are free to choose their primary care physician. If a resident does not have a primary care physician, medical care is provided by the Prix Santé home physician.

Emergency doctor

In the event of an acute deterioration in a resident's health, an individual decision must be made as to which physician should be alerted. In principle, unless otherwise agreed, or there is no acute life-threatening situation, the family doctor or the home doctor is the first contact person. The alerting of a doctor takes place in the following order

• home physician
• Emergency medical service

External specialists

In our nursing home there is a free choice of therapists.

Medical therapies

For the implementation of medically prescribed therapies, e.g. physiotherapy, the corresponding specialist therapists are consulted in the nursing home. The choice is primarily based on the recommendation of the prescribing physician or on the personal wishes of the resident. If there is no recommendation or specific request from either of these sides, the therapist with whom a cooperation agreement exists is consulted.

The therapies can be performed both in the nursing home and, if the resident's condition permits, in the therapist's office.

Coiffure / Foot Care

Whenever possible, visits to the hairdresser, pedicurist, etc. are used as an activity and residents are encouraged to make these visits away from home. If this is not possible or not desired by the resident, Prix Santé AG staff can organize treatment at the nursing home or at home.

A move to a nursing home is always a complex decision. In addition to the psychosocial issues, financial challenges and uncertainties very often arise.

Because of this complex decision-making process, necessary and sensible transfers to assisted living are often unnecessarily delayed or not planned at all. This often leads to untenable living situations for elderly and aged people in their previous homes.

Prix Santé is aware of this situation and offers the opportunity to try out assisted living in independent structures without any obligation.

People in changed or worsening health situations can directly experience the security and quality of life in an inpatient environment without having to abruptly leave their previous living situation.
